Why Is Everyone Talking About Toronto?

The disappointment of Quilt Canada being cancelled this year due to Covid-19 concerns and restrictions was palpable across the country. Quilters, exhibitors, sponsors and organizers who had been planning and looking forward to our annual show and conference were put on hold and forced to adapt until safer times emerged. Canada is taking tentative steps to safely emerge from the shutdowns that have been in place. The good news for quilters is that planning is already under way for Quilt Canada 2021 in Toronto!

This Quilt Canada will be doubly special. Not only will we be making up for the fact that we could not get together in 2020, we will be celebrating CQA/ACC’s 40th Anniversary! 40 years of preserving the traditions of quilting, supporting current trends in quilt making and providing a forum for Canadian quilters of all ages and levels to share and learn about the Canadian quilting scene.

Stay tuned for news on some very special guests who will be joining us as we toast our success and build toward a strong and thriving future. Until then, know that plans for the National Juried Show, developing a calendar of amazing workshops and lectures, and creating a huge Merchant Mall filled with quilty goodness are all in the works. So circle June 16 to 19, 2021 on your calendar. See you in Toronto!
