FAQ

My Account

How do I renew my membership?

You will be billed on the date you become a member. If you wish to have it auto-renew, please check the box indicating so. After one year, and annually thereafter, you will automatically be billed a recurring annual membership renewal fee at the current rate, and you accept responsibility for all recurring charges until you cancel your membership.

How do I change the email address associated with my account?

To update the email address associated with your membership, log in to your CQA/ACC account and update your member profile.

What if I don’t have an email address?

If you do not have an email address you can buy and renew your membership by calling our Administrative Assistant at 1-877-672-8777, Ext. 3 and paying by credit card, or mailing in the renewal form with a cheque.
We encourage members to create an email address. In addition to letting you easily create/renew and access your membership account, you will be certain to receive our monthly email and periodic communications. Most importantly, an email address gives you full access to the Members-Only Studio on the website so that you can quickly and easily find articles and patterns from past issues.

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept online payments via credit card. We also accept payment via personal cheque mailed to our Administrative Assistant.

eNews and Membership

Is there a difference between subscribing to our e-newsletter and being a CQA/ACC member?

Yes. Anyone can subscribe to our monthly e-newsletter to stay on top of the latest association news. Becoming a member entitles you to an annual subscription to our quarterly magazine, Canadian Quilter and a member e-newsletter.

It also allows you to participate in a variety of quilt challenges and take advantage of Early-Bird registration and discounts for Quilt Canada and its many workshops and lectures. In addition, membership also gives you access to exclusive online members-only studio featuring quilting articles, patterns and tutorials.

Do you have additional membership types?

In addition to individual memberships the CQA/ACC encourages quilt guild, professional and shop memberships. Full details of the benefits for each membership type can be found on our Join Us page.

Members are encouraged to support young quilters! Consider gifting a young maker or two with a CQA/ACC membership so that they too can explore the inspiring world of Canadian quilting, online and in the pages of our quarterly magazine, Canadian Quilter.

How do I unsubscribe to your email newsletter?

If you would like to stop receiving our e-newsletter, you can do so by clicking the “Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of any of our emails.

Website and Social Media

Can I follow CQA/ACC on social media?

Yes! We are active on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram and encourage you to follow us and join in the fun. We invite you to share the projects you’re working on and share tips and advice with other quilters in our community. This is a great way to develop your sewing skills, while connecting with other makers who share a passion for quilting!
