Artist’s Statement: I am always fascinated by reflections—glass-like lakes that perfectly mirror the subject or surfaces disturbed by a ripple—which add both movement and texture. This zebra wants to check out her dye job. By touching her nose to the surface of the water, she can transform her stripes into checkers.
