Materials: Cotton fabric and Dye-na-Flow™ dyes.

Techniques: Machine appliqué and piecing, bias-tape appliqué and longarm quilting.

Credits: Inspired by a journal page from "My Rainbow Soul" by DeeDee Catron.

Artist’s Statement: "Shine Bright" was created by, first, hand painting colours on white fabric, then using bias tape appliqué for the bubbles. A chunk was cut out to add the "Ohio star" block. Next, I quilted, and quilted—and quilted. I stepped out of my box with the quilting and used contrasting thread, something unusual for me.
