Dispersal
Entry #: M 2116
Entrant: Krista Hennebury
Dimensions: 40" x 53" Wall Quilt
Materials: Cotton fabric.
Techniques: Improv machine piecing and domestic-machine quilting with a stitch regulator.
Artist’s Statement: This quilt was started by free-cutting quarter circles from a coloured square stacked on a white square. Every little curved unit has an opposite sister somewhere in the quilt. Instead of squaring up, I filled out the quilt with improvisational piecing, sending the small, coloured shards further out from the center.
