Forever In a Pickle
Entry #: M 2112
Entrant: Megan Little
Dimensions: 67" x 78" Wall Quilt
Materials: Cotton fabric.
Techniques: Improv machine piecing and domestic-machine quilting with a stitch regulator.
Credits: Techniques from Sherri Lynn Wood’s book, "The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters: A Guide to Creating, Quilting, and Living Courageously".
Artist’s Statement: Inspired by improv quilts on instagram, I've made this pickle coloured one. I started with the infinity loop at the centre of the quilt and worked outwards creating circles, as if you're looking down into a pickle jar. The freemotion quilting echos the piecing with infinity loops and hills.
