Artist’s Statement: A collaboration with a songwriter, I was able to celebrate community with an original song and quilt design that expresses the generosity and supportive nature of quilters. The swan is depicted alone in a sunset, but surrounded by stars (other quilters) as well as a traditional lone star (history).
