Materials: Commercial quilting cotton solids, cotton thread, Gütermann® cotton, hand-quilting thread, WonderFil® Sue Spargo #8 perle cotton.

Techniques: Machine piecing and hand quilting.

Artist’s Statement: My inspiration was a circle-of-friends, pottery candle holder and the "Colour Wheel Solids" collection by Connecting Threads. "Circles of friendship" stars represent diverse friendship circles in my life. Concentric circles with stippled centres represent the ripple effect our actions have on our world.
