Materials: Commercial cotton, upholstery and costume fabric, velveteen, yarns and trims, wool roving and beads.

Techniques: Machine piecing, hand beading and couching and domestic-machine, free-motion quilting.

Artist’s Statement: My wintry backyard, at night, sparkles with the blue lights of seasonal decorations, illuminates trees here and there and highlights the peacefulness of the neighbouring lots. All that is needed is the sultry music of Roberta Flack, whose blue lights were in her basement.
