Artist’s Statement: Life is fragile, tenuous, changing, frightening, sad, happy and rewarding. The unexpected happens, shattering the norm. After a devastating year of family illness and property loss, creation of this piece was cathartic as I formed, stitched and secured each fragment of my life back together.
