Materials: Artist’s hand-dyed and hand-stenciled cotton and linen, silk dupioni and WonderFil® thread.
Techniques: Machine piecing, as well as hand-guided, free-motion, stitch-in-the-ditch, domestic-machine quilting.
Artist’s Statement: This abstract quilt of shapes and symbols represents the increasing, rapid pace of living in Greater Vancouver. The constant changing skyline of multiple towers and the continuous movement of people and vehicles are juxtaposed with the serenity of scenic, coastal mountains and ocean views.
