Artist’s Statement: In October 2017, while visiting Scotney Castle, a National Trust site in England, I took many photos. It was a beautiful autumn day spent with family. This particular archway captured my interest. I loved the enticing doorway into a tranquil scene through the archway. It became the inspiration for my guild’s quilt-art challenge in March 2018. The theme was Doors.
