Artist’s Statement: The maple sugar bush is an iconic, Canadian image. Inspired by the recent thefts of maple syrup in Canada and the potential disappearance of its wonderful sweetness as climate change kills the maple trees, this quilt was made for our guild's Canada 150 Challenge.
