The Orchard Valley Quilters Guild had a great year in 2023. We hosted five trunk shows and workshops: Janet Scruggs Image Transfer workshop (https://www.janetscruggs.com/); Endy Turner, batik presentation (https://oyamaquiltshop.com/); Mary-Ann Cutt trunk show and demonstration; Marnie Freeman memory quilts (https://www.memoryquiltsbymarnie.ca/author/marnie/) and Felicity Ronaghan (http://www.felicityquilts.com/) modern quilt trunk show.

Our fibre artists challenged us to interpret bird photos, our modern group demonstrated lots of improv piecing and encouraged us to get modern while our hand stitchers amazed us with their beautiful embroidery.

We donated 185 Christmas stockings and 20 quilts to the Salvation Army, 196 quilts sto the Kelowna General NICU facility, and 7 quilts to Harmony House and Kelowna Hospice. We exhibited 37 Quilts for Survivors at the Kelowna Rotary Centre for the Arts and saw them come to West Kelowna First Nations by canoe across the lake to be gift to survivors.

We are looking forward to another active year in 2024, including a Quilts and Vines, an exhibition at the Summerhill Winery. Come and join us for a glass of wine.
