CQA/ACC invites you to a mystery quilt along. Everyone is welcome to join the fun.

Now, you may be wondering why it’s called Oatmeal Raisin…it’s because the designer of this year’s quilt along, Kathryn Wilson Tucker of Next Step Quilt Designs @quiltnasium, loves Oatmeal Raisin cookies! Are there cookies on the quilt? No. But, if you like what comes to mind when you think of cookies and picnics and summer afternoons, you will love this playful, classic design.

And best of all, the pattern is perfect for beginners. The only hurdle is the half square triangle, which is a piece of cake! (Or should we say cookie?)

The fabric requirements are available now. Please note, there is a lot of background fabric in this design, so it’s wise to choose a non-directional pattern that will look good in any size (some of the smaller block pieces in this quilt are as small as 1 inch, while some background pieces using the same fabric are much larger).

Check back to that same page on the third Friday of each month, from December to June, 2024, for the next installment.

And be sure to post images of your progress on Facebook in the CQA/ACC Quilting Projects group. This is also a good place to ask questions if you have any.

Enjoy the mystery!
