Quilter, designer, teacher and author Melissa Marginet enjoys sharing her knowledge and inspiring others. In every class that she teaches she learns something new and is continually inspired by her students. A DIY quilter from beginning to end, she encourages others to do the same. For her there is no right or wrong way, there are different ways; each person needs to find what works best for them. Take what you learn and make it work for you.

In 2016, we featured Melissa Marginet’s first book, Walking Foot Quilting Designs, in the pages of Canadian Quilter. She has followed it up with Edge-to-Edge Walking Foot Quilting Designs which is hot off the press.

Edge-to-Edge Walking Foot Quilting Designs is a collection created from six basic designs used in different combinations and orientations to give you over 200 designs and the skills to create many more of your own. All of the designs are created for the walking foot but can also be used for free motion quilting, ruler work, longarm quilting, and hand quilting. Quilting edge-to-edge means no threads to bury and no need to rotate your quilt as you work.

The books measure 5.5″ x 7″, a nice carry-along size that won’t take up much room beside your sewing machine as you refer to it when quilting your quilt, and the spiral binding will ensure it stays open to the page you want. Detailed custom quilting examples are included as well.
