July 23, 2022- Mayne Island Quilters outdoor quilt show at the Japanese Garden at Dinner Bay Park. Generous tea room overlooking the ocean, merchant mall with special display of featured quilter Sandra Sandvik (instructor at Quilt Canada)

Best in Show winning CQA’s Rosette was Connie L!   her own design from Quilters Ark by Margaret Rolfe workshop at her first guild meeting.  There’s a lovely West Coast feel to this quilt, which features lots of squares and rectangles depicting trees, a cabin, bears, sheep, roosters, chickens and more.

“I started this quilt for my son Andrew when he graduated 23 years ago. This quilt was inspired by Andrew’s fort that he built in Gibsons, BC, as well as by his entrepreneur ship skills growing up. This quilt is made with recycled fabrics.”
