Add dimension to your quilted creations using wool felt embroidery. Kathleen Riggins, one of the incredible instructors at Quilt Canada 2024 in Edmonton will explain how to do it, answer your questions, and share examples of her colourful work.
Kathleen has been sewing since she was very young. So young that her mother would put the sewing machine on a short table and the foot control on a box so Kathleen’s little legs could reach.
Although she used to actively avoid sewing by hand, she had a change of heart. Now, she embroiders by hand as much as she sews by machine—and maybe more!
As you can tell from these examples of her work, Kathleen loves bright colours, texture, and pretty much anything that involves thread.
