Quilt Blocks for the New Millenium

The Quilt-Along for 2022 is a Re-Run of the 12 original Quilt Blocks for the New Millenium, first published in the Canadian Quilter in 1999-2000.

The blocks were introduced by Dusty Newey, a past President of CQA/ACC and long-time volunteer. The patterns included one block designed by a quilter from each province and territory. To date, three block patterns have been released in 2022: Jubilation by Adaire Chown Schlatter; West Coast Salmon by Barbara Fraser; and New Brunswick Block by Kathy Tidswell.

Everyone is welcome to join this Quilt Along. It is open to members and non-members alike.

Each month of 2022, on the third Tuesday of the month, another block pattern will become available on the Quilt Alongs page.

Join CQA/ACC’s Quilting Projects Facebook Group if you haven’t already, to get links to the patterns, and share your works in progress.

CQA/ACC hopes you will enjoy the challenge and nostalgia of completing these timeless blocks for a new quilt that celebrates so many regions of the country.
