The Flying Needle Quilt Guild of Millarville, Alberta enjoyed a great start to their 2023/2024 program. Members have enjoyed learning about Quilt Journalling, sharing new ideas for gifts and decorations during a Holiday Carousel, and celebrated the season with games, food, and fellowship at their December meeting. Charity giving has always been a cornerstone of the guild and this year donations were collected for Basically Babies and YW Crisis Shelter.
The Flying Needle Quilt Guild meets at the Millarville Community Church (1 km east of Highway 22 on Highway 549) just a stone’s throw away from Calgary, Alberta. We are a group of quilters of all ability levels who value friendship, encouragement, and opportunities to learn and explore quilting. We meet one Saturday a month at 9:30 a.m. for a meeting that includes demos, trunk shows, and show and share. Many members stay and sew in the afternoon. For 2023-2024 we have optional workshops, guild challenges, charity opportunities, and fun activities planned. We love welcoming new members.
