Rankin is a past president of the CQA/ACC, and has served as its Youth Programming Director and as a regional representative for Eastern Ontario. In 2024, she is the Jury Coordinator for the National Juried Show at Quilt Canada 2024 being held in Edmonton, Alberta.

Rankin teaches, demonstrates, and lectures on quilting at schools, festivals, and guilds; prepares constructive critiques to assist quilters; and presents trunk shows. A quilter since her early teen years, Rankin said, “I enjoy all types of quilting and interacting with quilters. My joy is encouraging quilters of all skills sets to be proud of their work and to display it as often as possible. I look forward to seeing the quilts at the North Country Quilting Guild show,” Rankin said.

The Ottawa native has expertise in appliqué, English paper piecing, wool work, and felting techniques. She currently lives in Stittsville, Ontario.

The 2024 North Country Quilting Guild Show will fill Cerow Recreation Arena in Clayton, New York, with quilts of all sizes and styles; demonstrations; special exhibits; workshops; a small quilts silent auction to benefit the Gouverneur Breast & Ovarian Cancer Fund that supports patient needs in St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Lewis and Franklin counties; and vendors.
