We welcomed a new member in February. She has now sewn her  first quilt top and matching pillow case. Shelly Barbour made a quilt using a panel called Wings of a Dove using Stonehenge Oh Canada fabric. It was quilted by Helen Gress & donated to Tisdale Health Care Auxillary for their raffle.

Chris Keays abd Helen Gress showed the quilts they had made using the 12 blocks from the pizza box challenge. A flange binding for a quilt was demonstrated by Chris Keays.

We donated three charity to a Tisdale family that lost their home to fire.

Shelly Barbour gave the group how to instructions, showed lots of examples, & had many tips  on machine applique.

Our March meeting, Corry told us there are 3 kinds of paper piecing, English, Cynthis England, & foundation. She demonstrated foundation paper piecing. Tools needed:  thin foundation paper, stiff card stock, acid free glue stick, small rotary cutter, a 6 inch add a 1/4 inch ruler, & short stitch length 1.5-1.0.  On March 17, the executive of our group decided due to COVID 19, our activities would be canceled till further notice. Enjoy quilting!
