My Quilting Journey

“Seanchaí” is the Irish for storyteller, for millennium stories, myths and legends where passed down through word of mouth. Luckily we have wonderful technology like Zoom where we can share our stories now! Come join me and explore my quilting journey across several decades. Discover what brought me to quilting and a little background on my childhood in Ireland. Let me show you my favourite quilts and how they came about. Allow me to share with you what inspires and excites me. I adore all types of quilting from traditional, through modern to art quilts. I use different types of quilting styles and techniques to express and explore different emotions always striving to learn new skills as well as improving old ones.

About Paula Rafferty

Paula Rafferty is an international art quilt exhibitor, quilt judge, exhibition curator, professional longarm quilter, pattern designer and teacher. Paula was born and lives in Ireland and teaches art full time in Limerick Prison. Paula’s work has been featured in many international patchwork and quilting magazines including; Quilting Arts, Quilt Modern, British Patchwork & Quilting and Patchwork Professional.
