Dear Humans … Viewers Choice

Art Depiction #257

Sue Sherman
Newmarket, Ontario

Sponsors  Gutermann and Sew Easy

The animals are sending a message to humans, offering their opinion about the state of things. Humans fill the sky with empty talk about addressing habitat loss and climate change, but don’t really do anything to help. Whole cloth cotton painted with thickened dyes.

Techniques and Materials
100% of the surface is painted by application of thickened dyes using brushes; painting with fabric paints. White PFD cotton, Procion MXdyes, Jacquard fabric paint, trilobal polyester, cotton and silk thread.

Quilting
Self quilted on a frameless machine using a stitch regulator.

Credits
Original design based on photographs taken by the entrant.
