The Enveloped Quilt plays with the Magic Quadrant feature in PreQuilt, an online application for designing and visualizing quilts that separates the quilt into four quadrants radiating from the centre. I played with three different quadrants, but you can play with four if you like, or even two! Don’t want to design it on the computer? Use the Colouring Page at the end of the pattern to plan your personalized layout.
Using 5″ finished blocks, this pattern includes fabric recommendations, assembly instructions and a Colouring Page. Here are a few helpful tips:
- A water-soluble marking pen and a quarter inch seam marker are helpful tools when making this quilt.
- This pattern uses the two-at-a-time method for constructing the Half Square Triangles (HSTs). Experiment, or use other methods to create more HSTs at a time.
