International Quilt Trends
Take a trip around the world with 200 quilt images featuring trends in contemporary quiltmaking. See how quilters in different countries use current events, art history, climate change, activism and pop culture as inspiration for unique works of art, and how Modern Quilting continues to expand and change as a design influence. Color trends and techniques will be discussed, in this review of quilt art trends over the last year. Includes quilts from exhibits from around the world, and future trends for quiltmaking. Special updates from Japan, Washington DC, Birmingham UK, Colorado, Taiwan and Houston Texas 2025 quilt festivals. Luana is transitioning to being a full time quilt artist so she will also share some of her recent work at these various quilt shows. Be sure to have a notebook to jot down inspirational ideas for your next year of quiltmaking! This talk is a fundraiser for Quilts for Survivors.
About Luana Rubin
Luana Rubin is the co-owner and president of eQuilter.com, and has worked as a designer in the quilt, textile, and garment industries since 1980.
