The Langley Quilters’ Guild continues to thrive and grow and we love welcoming new members to our group. We have a new executive taking us into the next chapter of quilting adventures and are grateful to the outgoing executive who brought creative vision, flexibility and strong leadership when it was needed after the pandemic. We are still holding both day and evening in-person meetings once a month and are currently planning an autumn retreat. This May we held our first quilt show since 2018 and it was highly successful, with over 1500 attendees enjoying the hundreds of beautiful quilts on display. We are also very proud of one of our members who won a prize at Quilt Canada this year. Closer to home, our more than 130 members have continued to be engaged with many interesting presenters, workshops and projects as well as sewing for the community and, in the last several months, the guild has shared more than two hundred quilts and other items with the many local organizations we support.
