2025-2026 CQA/ACC Mystery Quilt – “Meet You in Manitoba”

This year’s quilt along mystery quilt “Meet You in Manitoba” will consist of monthly installments released in the CQA/ACC website member studio. Watch for updates on the third Wednesday of the month from December until May.

The CQA/ACC Board of Directors decided that this year’s Quilt Along will involve our members. If you have not joined yet, you can still take advantage of this activity. It comes along with the other benefits of membership (magazine, discounted webinars, discounted Quilt Canada workshop registration, reduced NJS entry).

Mystery quilt designer Pam says about the project, “each section that you make will fit beautifully in the overall quilt, or you can decide to use each month’s challenge as a mini quilt, centre piece, table runner, or place mat. They will each be a Manitoba – and Canadian – conversation starter.”

To kick off the “Meet You in Manitoba” quilt along, the supply list will be released on Nov. 19.

Again, designer Pam comments, “we are always on about using up your scrap pile, but what if you’re a new quilter and don’t have one? Or maybe you downsized your quilting room, and let some of your fabrics go? There are definitely elements of this challenge that will encourage you to use scraps, but I know when I first started quilting, I did not have a scrap pile. Shopping, swapping, and gifts were (and still are) the answer! Shop for new fabric, support your favourite designers or find some new ones, participate in a fabric swap, and/or ask your family for a gift card.”
