Materials: Cotton commercial and hand-dyed fabric.

Techniques: Hand embroidery and beading, free-motion embroidery, machine piecing, hand quilting and domestic-machine quilting.

Credits: Inspired by and started in a workshop with Ruth McDowell.

Artist’s Statement: My art is inspired by the lines in flower forms. Orchid shapes intrigue me. This image is an abstract version of an orchid called Euchile mariae.
