Materials: Organic cotton fabric, plant-dyed velvet, vintage velvet, dupioni silk, woman’s handkerchief, as well as silk and cotton thread.

Techniques: Hand-dyed fabric using natural dyes. Hand piecing, embroidery and appliqué, as well as hand quilting.

Artist’s Statement: My practice is informed by the aesthetic of simplicity and a sense of touch. Daydreams, memories and the rush of everyday life are stitched into the work over lengthy periods of time. I strive to express our emotional and vulnerable inner world because that is what art does best.
