Techniques: Hand and free-motion embroidery and hand-guided, free-motion longarm machine stitching on collaged fabric. Not stitched on a photograph.

Artist’s Statement: An Eastern Tiger Swallowtail drinks in my Purple Sensation lilacs. My nature studies pay homage to the pollinating insects in my garden and the fields around my Niagara Escarpment studio. Carefully drawn in thread, I invite you to consider the importance of these small creatures to our environment.
