Materials: Artist’s hand-dyed cottons, fabric-painted images, a variety of yarns and beads, as well as wool batting.

Techniques: Hand appliqué, beading, fabric painting, free-motion, domestic-machine quilting.

Artist’s Statement: "The Choice" represents present-day conditions in our world’s oceans. A vast amount of plastic trash is swirling around in all ocean currents. Weedy Sea Dragons represent hope for the future. With advances in science and a global effort, our ocean wildlife could once again inhabit unpolluted waters.
