Artist’s Statement: As an artist, I seek inspiration in ancient, Vancouver Island forests. Using fabric and thread in a painterly approach, I carefully prepare a palette of textiles selected for their unique properties. Hand-cut pieces of fabric are layered onto stretched canvas, then blended and enlivened by countless hand-pulled stitches.
