Materials: Cotton fabric, beads and embroidery thread.

Techniques: Hand embroidery, fused, raw-edge appliqué, machine piecing and domestic-machine quilting.

Artist’s Statement: This work was inspired by something I did as a child. Designs were produced by drawing intersecting lines at different angles. The resulting shape would be coloured in to produce the design. Pieced and appliquéd using cotton fabric and embellished with beads and hand embroidery.
