Materials: Cotton fabric, polyester batting and polyester lining.

Techniques: Machine piecing and sit-down longarm quilting, no regulator. Fast turn to form basket weave and picket fence. Free-motion quilting finished scallop-edged collar.

Credits: Shaped from an old pattern in my stash, McCall's 7276.

Artist’s Statement: The rich colours and textures of fall foliage inspired the “Harvest Vest”. The back is reminiscent of summer’s end with the last of the blooms and buzzing insects. A harvest basket weaves its way on the front, while fence posts makes for a wonderful pocket.
