Materials: Cotton fabric, wool batting and cotton thread.

Techniques: Hand appliqué, machine piecing and longarm quilting.

Artist’s Statement: The method I use is called prepared-edge appliqué, which simply means the seam allowance of the piece to be appliquéd is turned over with an iron before it is hand stitched. I make it my personal mission to teach this method to as many people as I can.
