Artist’s Statement: Tattoos historically document culture and circumstances. Designed in response to current events during 2017 and 2018, each block symbolizes emotions evoked by the news each month. The negativity and hate is wearing us down. It will be etched permanently in history, just as tattoos are etched into the skin.
