Techniques: Machine piecing, original, digitized embroidery and longarm quilting with a stitch regulator.

Artist’s Statement: Creating an expansive negative space was my primary goal in creating Hummingbirds. With a mixture of light, decorative dangle wings—it looks like one can see right through their fluttering. This technique enabled the ability to quilt an array of botanical motifs and geometric designs.
