As humans expand on this planet, wildlife is forced to find ways to adapt to the ill-fitting space remaining. While the focus of this piece is on today’s creatures, look in the background for the names of animals extinct due to human activity.

Techniques and Materials
100% dye painted. Approximately 3% painted with fabric paint. White cotton muslin, thickened Procion MX dyes, wool batting, trilobal polyester, cotton and silk threads, fabric paint

Quilting
Self quilted using a frameless machine with a stitch regulator.
