Mad About PATCHWORK

Cathy Vickers
Peterborough, Ontario

Paper piecing is my favourite technique; stars are my favourite motif and bright vibrant colours in batiks made me smile. So all of the elements were here! On top of that, I like challenging patterns. I am so pleased with the vibrancy that resulted from this project.

Techniques and Materials
Machine and paper pieced. Cotton, batiks, wool batting

Quilting
Quilted by Faith McLeod of F55 Quilting on a framed machine.

Credits
Pattern: “Rainbow Stars” by Chris Stiasny. Images by Mike Gaudaur – permission received.
