International Quilt Trends – 2024 Part 2

Take a trip around the world with over 200 quilt images featuring trends in contemporary quiltmaking. See how quilters in different countries use current events, art history, climate change, and pop culture as inspiration for unique works of art, and how the minimalism of Modern Quilting continues to expand and change as a design trend. Luana RubinAbout Luana Rubin

Luana Rubin the owner of eQuilter.com, a Bernina ambassador, and a frequent guest on Quilting Arts TV on PBS in the USA. She is an artist-activist, color trend forecaster, textile designer and wildlife photographer. Her company has raised over US$2 million for charity and non-profits including Medicins Sans Frontieres. She has worked in the garment and textile industries since 1980.

Over the last several years, she has worked as a curator and juror, organizing the “Love Your Mother” and “For the Love of Gaia” exhibits. Her art quilts have been displayed at the United Nations in Geneva, NASA in Houston, The Carter Center, Clinton Presidential Library, and the Library of Congress in Washington DC, in addition to many museums, galleries, and quilt festivals including the Houston Intl Quilt Festival.
