With the devastating events in Saskatchewan this past week we as a country have been unified in grief and sorrow. To try and help comfort those closest to the tragedy, amazing quilters across the country have began making quilts to send to the victims and their families.
I am opening the studio for a marathon quilting event to help as best I can. From April 21-23 the machines will be running full tilt and pumping out quilt after quilt so we can get these out.
We need volunteers! Come and help us quilt them (no need for certification), bring your sewing machine and piece tops, trim and bind them as they come off the machines…..whatever you like.
If you can’t participate on those dates you can also drop off quilt tops or finished quilts here at the studio from Tuesday April 17th onward. We will make sure they get finished and sent away. Help us get as many quilts finished as we can.
As a Mom (and a hockey mom), I am heartbroken for all involved and I just can’t wrap my head around what the families must be going through. Please send an email, text, FB message to volunteer.”
