REGISTRATION QUESTIONS SECTION

1. When can I register for “A Celebration of Quilting in Canada” Quilt Canada’s virtual conference?

Registration for both members and non-members is open now and will continue until 3 pm EDT June 15 2021.

A single-Entry Pass will allow you access for all 3 days of the conference and until August 18, 2021 EDT to the Quilt Galleries and Merchant Mall (after the show the Merchant Mall will not be live – online only).  One Entry Pass must be purchased in order for the rest of the Registration Form to open and allow you to register for the presentations.  Each attendee must register with a separate form.

To attend Presentations and Tours you must have purchased an Entry Pass (Admission).

2. When does registration close?

Registration closes for all events, pins and tickets on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 3pm EDT.  There will be no sales of Sessions or passes after this time or during the event.

3. If I am a CQA/ACC Member, am I eligible for discounts?

Yes, membership pays! As a member you will get special pricing on all of the sessions offered this year.  This discount will apply throughout the registration period – April 20 to June 15 3pm EDT. Your membership number is not needed – however membership will be checked.

4. How much is an entry pass to “A Celebration of Quilting in Canada”?

The entry pass is simply $10.00 + tax. It must be purchased to access the rest of the form for Registration.  A single-entry pass (Admission) gives you access for the entire show from June 16 9AM EDT until August 14 9AM EDT until August 18 EDT.  Everyone needs only 1 Entry Pass.   A separate form must be used for each attendee.   You can visit the site to look at the Quilt Galleries and the Merchant Mall anytime during the aforementioned period. Please note that the chat function in the vendors’ virtual booths in the merchant mall will only be available when a merchant is virtually present June 16-19,2021.

5. When can I purchase an entry pass?

All Registrants can purchase an Entry Pass from April 20 at noon EDT until June 15 at 3pm EDT.  THERE WILL BE NO SALES OF PASSES, LECTURES OR TOURS after June 15 at 3PM EDT when the form closes.  No sales during the show!   A separate form must be used for each attendee.

6. How do I register for Quilt Canada’s Virtual Conference “A Celebration of Quilting in Canada”?

To register for the virtual conference, use the online registration form. Our interactive form guides you through all aspects of the event so that you can easily indicate your choices, calculate your fees and submit your registration. 

To access the entire form, you must indicate “member or non-member” and purchase the $10 Entry Pass.  A separate form must be used for each attendee.

Check all of your entries to be certain that they are what you want. Complete the Contact Information section.  Click the SUBMIT button then move to the payment page and make your payment. 

7. What is the Virtual Conference cancellation policy?

There are NO REFUNDS for the entry fee, pins or registration fee to the presentations.

Do you need to add or change an item? This year you may log back into your registration file using the information on your Confirmation Email. You must make changes to your registration (add or remove your selections) before midnight June 9, EDT. There is no fee for doing this.  There will be NO REFUNDS.

SPECIAL NOTE:  Should you have a credit in your account after cancelling a part of your registration you can use your credit for anything on the Registration form by just logging in again and purchasing something.  The deadline for this is before midnight June 9 EDT.

8. Is there Sales Tax on the purchase of my registration?

Yes, sales tax at the Ontario rate of 13% will be applied automatically on the registration form when you check out.

9. I am a member but I see no discount on the form. Where is my discount?

Discounts will automatically appear – shown as your price as soon as you indicate “member” and purchase an Entry Pass

Members discounts are offered the entire time that registration is open – April 20 to June 15 2021

10. The submit button is not working – what do I do?

If it does not work – check back on the form for red ink marking missing information.  Complete the indicated sections.  For questions or problems email the Registrar or call 1-877-672-8777 Ext 2.

11. How can I confirm that my registration form is complete?

Your registration form is not complete until you click the SUBMIT button on your virtual conference registration form.  If it does not send please check back on the form and look for red print which will mark missing information.   You will receive the following two emails which will indicate that the registration is complete:
1. Registration Confirmation entitled: CONFIRMATION EMAIL Quilt Canada 2021 – virtual (which will include a list of everything you have registered for).  NOTE:  The link to login to the conference site will be emailed to you on either June 15 or morning of June 16 2021, and depends on when you submitted your registration.

  1. Registration Receipt

Be sure to check your spam/junk folder.

Download, print and save the CONFIRMATION EMAIL, if you need to make any changes to your registration the information to allow you to log back in is in this email.  All changes must be made BEFORE midnight June 9 EDT.  Note:  that any credit from cancellations or changes will NOT be available after June 9 – NO REFUNDS.  Have the email available during the virtual conference.

If you do not receive this Confirmation Email  within 15 minutes of submitting, check your junk mail then email the Registrar or call 1-877-672-8777 Ext 2.

12. Why are there no links to the Event on my Confirmation Email?

You will receive an email with your login information for the conference site on June 15, 2021 if you have registered before June 10. If you registered after June 10  you will receive your login information email on June 16, 2021.

Once you have logged into the conference site you will see the “My Sessions” tab on the left side of the page. Click on this to view the Presentations you have registered and paid for as well as any free sessions being offered during the conference. When it is time to attend a presentation, you will click on the title of the presentation in your list, and you will be taken to the online presentation to view it.

13. I want to add some sessions to my existing order but I cannot get into the online form without purchasing another Entry Pass?

The form is designed to require an entry pass purchase to open fully. 

Refer to your Confirmation Email for your “log in” information and make the changes in this way.  Changes may be made to existing orders until midnight June 9 2021 EDT.

This year there is no fee for changes.  Should you cancel an item on your original registration and have a credit – this credit can be used for anything on the registration form.  This can be used before midnight June 9 EDT – there are NO REFUNDS.

14. I dropped a lecture but I see no refund on my account?

This year there are NO REFUNDS, however credits may be used to purchase anything on the Registration Form only until midnight June 9 EDT.

It is possible to log in as many times as necessary to drop and add sessions.

To make a change to your registration, use your unique “registration log in” information found on your Confirmation Email.  This must be done prior to midnight June 9 EDT.

There is No Fee for changes

__I have a Credit and there are NO REFUNDS – what can I do?

If you have cancelled a previous purchase on your Registration and have a credit you may log in again and use your credit to purchase anything on the Registration Form.  Hint .. A pin from our 1st Virtual Show could be a lovely gift for a friend!  This must be done prior to midnight June 9 2021 EDT.

15. How is the purchase of a Full Access Bundle going to save me money?

Members can register for either the NJS Tour Bundle, the Presentation Bundle or both bundles if you would like to attend all or majority of sessions. The cost for members of a single presentation is $10 + tax. If a member purchased all 12 presentations singularly the total would be $120 + tax. However, by purchasing a Presentations Bundle at $80 + tax, members will save $40 + tax.

Non-Members can register for either the NJS Tour Bundle, the Presentation Bundle or both bundles if you would like to attend all or majority of sessions. The cost for non-members of a single presentations is $12 + tax. If a non-member purchased all 12 presentations singularly the total would be $144 + tax. However, by purchasing a Presentations Bundle at $110 + tax, non-members will save $34 + tax.

16. Do I need a Conference Name Badge and if so, how do I get it?

No – there are no name badges for this conference.

17. Where can I buy a “A Celebration of Quilting in Canada” Commemorative Pin?

If you would like a commemorative pin be sure to purchase it at the time of registration.

These souvenir pins have a limited number and are very popular.   Pins ordered will be mailed out to participants in June.

LECTURES/DEMOS and NJS TOURS SECTION

1. How do I register for a Conference Presentations?

The Quilt Canada registration form includes lists of the Presentations and Tours offered each day.  Registration is open until June 15 3pm EDT, there will be no sales after this date.

Browse the schedule – Note: that there are no two sessions at the same time so you can take EVERYTHING. With that in mind it is possible to get big savings by selecting the All-Access Bundles.  There are two available – one for Presentations and one for the NJS Tours.  Purchase both and you can have a full 3-day of quilting entertainment and education by attending everything.

2. How do I know if my Presentation registration has been properly submitted?
  1. Your registration form is not complete until you click the SUBMIT button on your virtual conference registration form.  If it does not send please check back on the form and look for red print which will mark missing information.   You will receive the following two emails:
    Registration Confirmation entitled: CONFIRMATION EMAIL Quilt Canada 2021 – virtual (which will include a list of everything you have registered for).  NOTE:  A link to the conference site will be emailed to you on June 15 or 16 2021 depending on when you register.
  2. Registration Receipt

Be sure to check your spam/junk folder.

Download, print and save the CONFIRMATION EMAIL.  Your log in information to make changes to your order is in this email.  Have it available during the virtual conference.

3. Does my presentation and tour registration fee include free access to the Show Hall?

No – Presentation and Tour fees do not include access to the Quilt Shows or Merchant Mall area.  You must purchase 1 Entry Pass which will give you access for the entire Conference.  This also must be purchased to attend or even register for the Presentations or Tours.  To open the form an Entry Pass must be purchased.  A separate Registration Form must be filled out for each attendee.

4. Does my presentation registration fee include lunch?

No – You are enjoying the conference from the comfort and safety of your own home.  Enjoy the lunch that you make yourself.

5. Is there any “easy way” to keep track of my sessions that I have signed up for besides on my Confirmation Email?

Yes, print the “Presentations at a Glance” chart here and you can highlight or circle the sessions that you have signed up for.  Keep it with you during the Event.

Be sure to also keep the Confirmation Email.

6. How can I use the workshop codes to better understand the schedule?

Our coding system helps ensure that everyone gets to where they want to go, and on time.

Example: 18 9:15am (18 – 9:15am)
18 = the date in June 2021

9:15am = the time the presentation starts (EDT)

(every presentation has its own unique time)

7. What do I do if I have double-booked a Presentation time slot?

It is impossible to have any Presentation that you have paid a fee for double-booked this year – everything has its own unique time slot.  If you foresee a problem please email the Registrar or call 1-877-672-8777 Ext 2.

8. If a Presentation is full, can I get my name added to the waiting list?

There will be no wait lists this year.

9. How do I know what materials to bring to each presentation?

There are no Supply Lists this year – it is strongly suggested that you have the ability to take down a few notes should you want to do this.  NO additional supplies are needed.

10. When and what are the evening presentations?

The evening presentations are:

  • Opening and Awards Ceremony at 7pm on Wednesday, June 16, 2021
  • My Patchwork Path (Anna Marie Horner) at 7pm on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
  • Colour your World (Gloria Loughman) at 7pm on Friday, June 18, 2021
  • Closing Ceremony at 8pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

11. How can I gain admission to the National Juried Show?

You must register for “A Celebration of Quilting in Canada” and purchase 1 ENTRY PASS to attend the National Juried Show (NJS) and Concurrent Quilt Shows.    The “virtual convention site “is available 24 hours per day starting at 9 am EDT June 16 through 9 am August 14, 2021. You can visit the site to look at the Quilt Galleries and the Merchant Mall anytime during the aforementioned period. Please note that the chat function in the vendors’ virtual booths in the merchant mall will only be available when a merchant is virtually present June 16-19,2021

There are scheduled Tours available to enjoy ($10 + tax members or $12 + tax non-members), however, you may also view the Galleries on your own at no cost beyond your $10 + tax Entry Pass.

12. Why are there so many NJS Tours?

Every NJS Tour is different!  Although you are able to view the quilts in the National Juried Show in the online gallery, the NJS Tours this year are designed to be an “inside” look at the quilts in the NJS. These NJS TOURS are designed to be both entertaining and educational. Take them all (All Access NJS Bundle) and you will never look at a quilt in the same way!

13. How can I book a tour of the National Juried Show?

You can book a tour by clicking on the “Register Here” Button and once an entry pass is purchased you can sign up for as many tours as you like.   Guided tours are available to help visitors learn more about the inspiration and techniques behind the exquisite quilts juried into the National Juried Show.  The last two tours on Saturday focus on the winners of the show.

15. Can I watch my sessions at a time convenient to me?

Yes you can!  Every session that you have paid for (except for “The Ergonomics of Healthy Quilting”)  will be recorded and will be available from about 2 hours after the live Presentation until June 26.  You will find these sessions under your personal tab “SESSIONS” on the left side of the Lobby once you log onto the site.  These recordings will only be available to persons who have registered for the live sessions.

16. Are the sessions (events) being recorded?

Yes, they are.  All of the paid Presentations and NJS Tours (except for “The Ergonomics of Healthy Quilting”) are being recorded during their live presentation and will be available starting 2 hours after the live presentation until June 26.  The link to the recording of each session/tour will appear on your personal list of “SESSIONS” found on the left side of the Lobby once you login.  These recordings will only be available to persons who have registered for the live session.

17. Can I view the NJS quilts without taking the Tours?
Yes, you can.  It works almost like a “live” show in that the NJS is available to be seen both in a tour and in a Gallery.  If you would like to simply view the Quilts and not do the tours, you would need a $10.00 Entry Pass and then once logged in and in the virtual “Lobby” you will see a link to the Quilt Shows, click on that. There will be some 400 photos in the NJS Gallery Show for you to view and enjoy.  That entry pass will allow you to come and go until 60 days after the show ends (about August 18).  The Entry Pass also gives you access to the Merchant Market and several other Quilt Shows as well.  Link to List of Quilt Shows at Quilt Canada 2021
18. Will there be a list available to show which Quilts will be shown in which NJS Tour?
There will be no list of which Quilts will be in which Tour.  If that changes, we will get it on the website and the link will appear here.
