Artist’s Statement: "Black Pearl" symbolizes the ability to transform difficulties into beauty. The design reveals the shining pearl in the centre and its formation layers overlapping one another. The fragmental edges represent the necessity of time passing by in order to create the pearl. Different quilting densities allow the black fabric to shine.
