NOTE #1: There is lots of information about Quilt Canada 2012. You can either access the whole handbook (37 pages, 3MB) or you can access specific, smaller sections of the handbook by using the links below. NOTE #2: If you downloaded information from the handbook prior to Sept. 14, 2011 there have been several small corrections since then. These corrections are reflected in the handbook and are summarized in the following half-page document. Please check to see if the corrections affect your plans in any way. |
IMPORTANT NOTE :
The online registration system closes midnight Eastern time on Thursday, May 10.
After this date, registrations will be taken at the Quilt Canada onsite registration area, 2nd floor, Student Union Building, 6136 University Avenue, starting on Monday May 28.
Once registration opens Monday May 28, it is too late to add numbers to Tuesday Supper, Wednesday Lunch, Wednesday Kitchen party, Thursday Lunch and Thursday Show and Share
Tuesday May 29: Registration closes by Noon for Friday Lunch and Friday Supper
Wednesday May 30: Registration closes by Noon for Saturday Lunch and Saturday Banquet
Thursday May 31 – Saturday June 2: Registration is open for lectures (Friday) and workshops only.

ACCOMMODATION:
- Participants may register for campus accommodation by filling in the Accommodation Reservation Request Form in the summer accommodations section at www.dal.ca/confserv

- Accommodation on campus is limited and based on availability at the time we receive and process requests for accommodation.

GETTING AROUND
- Here is a Map of Dalhousie that will guide you to all of the “must-do” and “must-see” events and exhibitions at Quilt Canada.
- Plan on visiting all the quilt shows during your stay in Halifax.

Shuttle to and from the Airport:
Go to http://www.airporter-rlm.com/ for the Shuttle schedule.
You can ask the Airporter Shuttle to drop you off/pickup at Dalhousie University, Howe Hall.
The times on the schedule for the Atlantica Inn can be used to estimate for Dalhousie drop off and pickup.
The shuttle costs $19.50 one way, $36 return, whereas a taxi will be easily $65 one way.
You must book ahead your return pick up.
